These questions form the basis of the rating in the next section:

1) Does the company or any member of its supply chain have a record of employing forced or involuntary labor - including child or prison labor - in any form within the last 5 years?

2) Does the company have a record of discrimination in hiring, remuneration, access to training, promotion, termination, or retirement based on race, national origin, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, union membership, political affiliation, or age within the last 5 years?

3) Does company compensation to full-time workers include minimum basic benefits and a living wage?

4) The previous questions are required to get to level 4. For companies that attain level 4, each of the conditions listed below are worth increases in the product score.

• There is no record of the company taking punitive action against personnel for forming or joining trade unions of their choice and/or bargaining collectively in the last 10 years.
• All of the company's facilities and suppliers are located in countries that do not have an Extreme or High Risk Rating on the Maplecroft Map of Labour Rights and Protection Risk Index
• Company offers expanded benefits to all full-time employees
• Company considers and enforces supply chain standards for labor fairness and equity in the selection process for supply chain partners
• Workforce, senior management and corporate governance bodies of the company reflect the diversity and make-up of the local community.
• Company has a diversity performance tracking and reporting system in place
• Company has instituted programs for workforce engagement
• Company has a comprehensive public written labor policy
