The Healthy Building Network's vision is simple: a healthy built environment for all people. We work to transform the market for building materials to advance the best environmental, health and social practices. HBN promotes a comprehensive, precautionary approach to material selection, and we provide the tools, the research, and the education to enable building professionals to follow that approach.

The Center for Clean Products and Clean Technologies (CCPCT) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has a mission to develop, evaluate, and promote cleaner products and cleaner technologies that minimize pollution at the source and contribute to long-term sustainable development. The CCPCT focuses on the earliest stages of pollution prevention: the design of products and the processes by which they are made.

CCP is a multi-disciplinary research center dedicated to the development, evaluation, and adoption of clean products and materials. The Center is housed within UT's Institute for a Secure and Sustainable Environment.

Cascadia's mission is to promote the design, construction and operation of buildings in Oregon, Washington, British Columbia and Alaska that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live, work and learn.

The Cascadia Region Green Building Council is one of three original chapters of the U.S. Green Building Council. Incorporated in Oregon in December 1999, the chapter covers Oregon, Washington, British Columbia and Alaska, but also includes members from as far away as Idaho and Montana. Cascadia continues to serve its members by helping the U.S. Green Building Council meet its goals in the Pacific Northwest. We strive to become the first and last word on green building by forging alliances with organizations that have a stake in the future of this region.

The chapter is named for the Cascadia bioregion, which covers land that drains to the Pacific Ocean through the greatest temperate rain forests on the planet.
